Why Wrocław?
Digital Nomad Guide to Wrocław
Walkable & safe: You can reach most places on foot, and the city feels calm and secure.
Green spaces: Parks, riverside walks, and hidden gardens break up the city.
Connectivity: Well-connected by train and air - we made easy trips to Kraków and nearby towns.
Affordable: Daily life is inexpensive compared to Western Europe.

Cost of Living in Wrocław For Digital Nomad (2025)
Wrocław offers excellent value for digital nomads.
Getting Around
Walking: The city is compact and flat — walking was our go-to.
Trams & buses: Reliable, efficient, and cheap. A single ride costs about 4.60 zł (€1.05 / £0.90 / $1.10).
Taxis/Bolt: Reasonable, usually under 20 zł (€4.50 / £3.80 / $4.80) for a short ride.
Airport: Just 12 km from the city centre, with frequent flights across Europe.
Where to Stay
We stayed at BaseCamp Wrocław - a modern student/coliving hub with:
Fully equipped apartments
A free on-site gym with high-end equipment
Social areas, shared kitchens, and great internet
Other options: serviced apartments, Airbnbs, and long-term hotels.
Cafés & Coworking in Wrocław
Wrocław has a thriving café scene perfect for work, plus dedicated coworking spaces.
Free & Café Work Spots
Vinyl Café (Kotlarska 35/36) – retro, cosy, and great coffee.
Macondo (website, Plac Nankiera 2/3) – creative collective café with cultural events and unique atmosphere.
Green Caffè Nero (multiple locations, our favourite: Plac Tadeusza Kościuszki 1) – reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of seating.
Dozens of independent cafés across the city make it easy to plug in and work.
Paid Coworking Spaces
Concordia Design Wrocław – modern, stylish cowork and event centre.
Business Link Wrocław – premium office space with flexible passes.
CoWork Rynek – central and affordable.
Many more exist across the city — these are just a few examples we noted.
Food & Drink
CHAI THAI Restaurant - Sienkiewicza restaurant near BaseCamp – great option when craving Asian flavours.
Kebabs – cheap, tasty, and everywhere.
Biedronka & Żabka – budget-friendly grocery staples (Żabka shops are on nearly every corner).
Beach Bars
A summer highlight in Wrocław — riverside beach bars with sand, drinks, and music:
Zazoo Beach Bar (Wybrzeże Stanisława Wyspiańskiego 39E) – lively, student-friendly.
HotSpot Beach Bar – huge riverside space with events and DJs.
Forma Płynna – stylish and chilled by the river.
Culture & Lifestyle
Wrocław Multimedia Fountain (Wystawowa 1) – spectacular evening shows, especially in summer.
Centennial Hall & Pergola – UNESCO-listed landmark and cultural events hub.
Nearby attractions: Japanese Garden, Szczytnicki Park, and the Four Domes Pavilion Gallery.
Creative spots: Macondo (mentioned above), art collectives, and live music venues.
Galeria Neon Side: Lively bars & nightclubs around a yardlike cluster of buildings lit by multicolored neon signage.
Wroclaw Old Town: Stare Miasto (Old Town) is centered on lively Rynek square and its ornate Town Hall, both restored after WWII. Pierogi cafes, curry houses, and late-night vodka bars fill gabled mansions, with local produce sold at Wrocław Market Hall and shops offering colorful pottery. The Cathedral of St. Vincent and St. James overlooks the Oder River, and the circular Panorama Racławicka artwork depicts a historic battle.
Fitness & Gyms
BaseCamp gym – free with stay, excellent equipment.
McFIT Wrocław – €25 / £22 / $27 monthly.
CityFit Wrocław – affordable 24/7 option.
Outdoor fitness parks and running trails along the Oder.

Final Thoughts
Wrocław is calm, affordable, and full of character, making it an excellent base for digital nomads. The cost of living sits between Asia’s budget-friendly hubs and pricier Western European cities. Some expenses, like short-term hotel stays, can feel expensive without planning ahead, while food, transport, and daily essentials remain relatively cheap if you stick to local favourites such as Żabka, Biedronka, or the many casual eateries.
Accommodation options range from long-stay coliving spaces like BaseCamp to hostels and serviced apartments. While we can’t comment on hostels directly, they’re available at competitive prices for budget travellers.
Overall, Wrocław works best for those planning longer stays or travelling with a mid-range budget.
With reliable internet, an ever-growing coworking scene, and plenty of cafés for remote work, productivity is seamless. Add in the riverside beach bars, cultural landmarks, and green spaces, and you’ve got one of Europe’s most liveable and balanced digital nomad destinations.
